Library Collaboration

Collaborative undertakings must have:

  •  Distributed benefits – more is accomplished jointly than could be individually
  • Common, new goals
  • Commitment from the organizations’ leaders
  • Well-defined relationships
  • Planning, including goals, objectives, activities, and measures of success
  • Mutual risk
  • Shared resources or jointly contracted
