Utah State LibraryThis project came about as a collaboration between the Utah State Library (USL) and BCR. It was funded through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Staying Connected grant program.

BCR’s own Shelly Drumm and Regan Harper designed the project along with Colleen Eggett of USL. Our goal was to make it manageable for library directors to come and in one day build a website based on what Shelly had already constructed. Another goal was to teach the skills needed to keep the websites current. Thanks, Shelly, for all of your brains & brawn in getting this off the ground.

Librarians came and learned how to choose a theme, design their site, and add content. They learned to add graphics, email addresses, links, pages, and everything else they needed to create a library website. We used Wordpress to build the project. This is a work in progress. We’d love to know what you’re doing as well.
